Nokia introduces new 3 inch Smartphone with new operating system, this
is introducing as low-cost touch screen Smartphone to
compete against low cost Android Smartphones. The Nokia 501 is running
with new operating system called as nokia Asha Platform.
This new version Smartphone under Asha series, has many more extra
features than other Nokia Asha Smartphones. This Nokia Smartphone has full touch
screen and polycarbonate design, 3 inch display with QVGA resolution, 4G
internal memory, and a powerful battery with 17 hour talk time.
This has 3.2 MP camera that can capture high quality images and videos,
good sound clarity and voice clarity. Nokia is offering this new smartphone $
99 without contracts or subsidies, this will help to get more coverage in emerging
countries.
"The Asha platform is faster, more
responsive and more flexible, too," said Nokia. "This means new
features and functionalities can be anticipated with future updates. Developers
will be able to create apps for the Nokia Asha 501 that will also be compatible
with the future Asha platform-based devices."
